It drives me crazy when I hear about people's basements flooding. You can PREVENT this from happening. How? Install a backup sump pump. Here's a story from a couple that went on vacation and came back to find 11 inches of water. But that's not the worst part. The resulting mold has caused serious health issues for them."When on vacation our sump pump stopped working for 5 hrs. the basement flooded about 11 inches. I am allergic to mold and am now suffering from a horrible sinus infection which has now gone into bronchitis."
